ZweiTälerLand is located in the tri-border area where the Black Forst, France and Switzerland meet, and the region is famous all over the world for its excellent cuisine and outstanding wines. The annual action weeks organised by ZweiTälerLand’s chefs are a special highlight in spring, while the Waldkirch “organ chefs” invite visitors to enjoy the Orgel-Schlemmerwochen (organ gourmet weeks) in October.
The ZweiTälerLand chefs think up an interesting motto each year, which is appropriate for the region and traditions and fits on the menu. Mottos have included “Black Forest mills”, “grandma’s cuisine” and the 2006 Football World Cup. The gourmet weeks have an attractive supporting programme with guided tours and open days, as well as a competition with great prizes, including holidays and surprise menus.
In the ZweiTälerLand region, there are still traditional weekly markets selling regional products.
